Fashion Night Out, London.

Last night my best friend Mark and I attended Vogue's Fashion Night Out. The excitement fizzed through Oxford Street, Conduit Street and New & Old Bond Street.

Our first destination was to Alexander McQueen to join the hundreds already queuing for the KEY. The key unlocked an internet code and gave the chance to win a Tote... Yeah you guessed it neither Mark nor I won. (Sad faces!)

The champagne (complimentary) enticed us into Dolce and Gabbana, where we browsed the rows of sparkling dresses covered in the symbolic star print of the season.

DKNY had imported a NYC yellow cab outside their store, while Dior had a Black London cab prepared for attendees photographs inside.

Walking the streets I just had to take a snap with Henry Holland (My all time favourite EVER!) and accidently missed Pixie Geldof! Sorry Pix!

However THE best bit of the entire night was finally meeting Ben Westwood (Yes, the son of Vivienne Westwood!) We wandered around the Vivienne Westwood shop, to Peaches Geldof djing, and sipping Cranberry Vodka Mixes. Met up with Joe Corre, the founder of Agent Provocateur, in Y-3 Yohji Yamamoto. Mark's favourite meet of the night was CHER LLOYD, yes that's right she was there in Viv W. and I can say this now she was geniunely lovely!!!

Across the road, Ben encouraged me to go into Belstaff and they had a photobooth set up, so we headed straight for it. The laughter we had from "silly" photos was never ending!

Overall the night was brilliant, leaving me with one thing to say, "I wish every night was FNO!"
If you've not had the chance to experience it yet, don't hesitate next year!!!!

The Wedding of the year... and I am not talking about Kate Moss...

So my lovely cousin got married a couple of weeks ago and it was just simply gorgeous! I was the chief bridesmaid and so got the pleasure of staying in the hotel the night before the wedding. At 12am we had handmade truffles and pink champagne delivered from the husband to be, which was very sweet.

The morning of the wedding was full of champagne, make up and hair stylists. The theme of the wedding was Navy and Silver and our dresses were knee length, with a silk rose on our left shoulder. The bride wore a white floor length silk dress with bodice embellishments.

Although it was a summer wedding, the typically AW colours of the Navy worked particularly well.

The Honeymoon Suite.

Breakfast on the morning, SO much food!

The cute shoes the bride wore.

Hand made and delivered truffles.

Creamfields Festival, Daresbury 2011.

So this was my first time at Creamfields, and my God, I have never seen so much mud!!!
But despite the ever changing weather, no spirits were dampened and we partied on hard into the night/early mornings!!

It was so nice to be away from all of the "home comforts" and electronics, and just to be camping in the middle of nowhere. There were huge circus style tents which sheltered many festival goers and also staged the likes of Benny Benassi, Swedish House Mafia and Dirty South.

However the best and most anticipated artist for me had to be Tiesto!!! In my excitement to get to the front row, I literally pushed myself to the front of the thousands, avoiding flaring arms and cigarettes. (Also managing to lose my friends as they weren't tiny like me they couldn't keep up) But nothing could ruin the fact I had made it to front row Tiesto. Quickly making new friends, some guy hoisted me up onto his shoulders.

I will never forget being up there, turning around to see what I can only describe as pure ecstacy exploding from the crowd. The electric vibrations of the classic song "Adagio for Strings" sent shivers down my spine and it was one festival I would HIGHLY recommend!!!!!!!

Joseph Ettedgui dies.

Joseph Ettedgui, the founder of Joseph fashion label, died yesterday morning in a hospital in London. The stores of Joseph had all of the eccentric and up and coming designers of the moment stocked, including Emmanuelle Khanh, Kenzo, Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Prada and Celine.

A memorial will take place today in London.

I want I want I want...

These new Alexander McQueen pieces; the Alantis plexi clutch, the Infinity dress and the heart peep toe yellow soled heels, are my personal must haves, I just have to conjure up around £2,000. Here's wishing.

Cat thrown at Dame Vivienne Westwood.

At Vivienne Westwood's fashion show at Paris week a stuffed cat was thrown onto the stage. Whether it was a surprise or an intentional part of the show, Westwood was close to being struck.

The stuffed cat was thrown from the audience as models gasped. These pictures show the event. The stuffed cat was eventually retrieved by a model and given to Westwood as a gift, the event was brushed off as a humourous event.

'Heart-breakingly beautiful, Alexander McQueen's final collection.

As my favourite designer, inspiration and icon in fashion, it pains me to write this piece.

Lee McQueen's unfinished collection was shown in a private state apartment in Paris this week. His collection was acclaimed by many critics as "heart-breakingly beautiful." and how right they were. His surreal designs captured elegance and pure beauty. The stunning cuts, perfect drapes and delicate grace in his prints were a reflection of his flawless talent and innovative eye for design.

McQueen was, and still is, irreplaceable. He was a designer that could express emotion with a single cut or print and therefore he never should be replaced, but remembered. It is now that his final collection has been shown he will be able to properly rest in peace, it is just a tragic shame Lee is not here to reap the reward and praise received.
